I may be speaking out of school but, when thinking of ideas and designs try to keep it to 1 or 2 colors. The more colors means more screens means more production costs which then translates into i higher priced shirt. Keep it simple... Bill if im speaking outa school please correct me.

I like having artwork on the sleeves and considering all the people that come up and ask me about MD'g, maybe a retailer such as Kellyco would post their logo to advertise and help with a $1-2 cost savings????

Does anyone have connections to the retail shops?

Carol...when do we think we will "vote" on a design? I will definitely get one for 2013....instead of KellyCo, why not NWI or N.E.D or others?

I have an idea for a design, I can draw a little, but no ability to make it look like a pro. My idea is like a compass rose with crossed metal detectors in the center. On the outside of the compass rose you would have different items for North (gold coin) South(pull tab) East(ring) West(artifact). Then in a circle around the whole thing have Friendly Metal Detecting Forum cleaning the globe one find at a time.

Folks the main theme several are wanting already exists as a shirt design. I own it on t-shirt and sweatshirt. Here's a pic from their page because I don't feel like posing in my shirt. lol

PS: The sweatshirt I have for sale because its too oversized to fit me so PM me if interested. Its on a Hanes heavyweight sweat size XL in grey heather extremely generously cut fit. Maybe I should put that in the classified section just realized it. Hadn't even thought of selling on here been trying to sell it at my club meeting.

how about a slogan for the benefit of all the non-metaldetectorists you'll encounter out there:
"Cleaning up YOUR Trash!"

I like that slogan because that is how I feel when digging parks is I am digging all the lazy a__ trash who were too lazy to walk to the trash can.

I'd really prefer to stay away from using the words "treasure" or using pirate images because this gives MD'ers a bad name I think as too many see us as pirates aka thieves. We need to do something to fight the image the Diggers show is giving us.

If we do end up making t-shirts I vote using the Gildan brand Heavyweight Cotton because it is the best fitting tee made. Get the heavyweight cotton which isn't really heavy at all, but it fits better than the Gildan Ultra Cotton which our gym just got and does not fit people who do not have a super slim torso. I got a Jerzees shirt from a vendor on here and while the design is cool I never wear it because Jerzees tees roll up on the bottom hem and you can't keep them pulled down. Also Jerzees don't breathe.

Yes this design is sold on Zazzle.com. I ordered a t-shirt and sweatshirt. The sweatshirt is too oversized for me. Actually I am a short woman and this looks like a dress on me its so long. Its a nice shirt though its a sweat but its made more like the quality of a sweater. Never seen one in a store this nice. I can take a pic of the sweatshirt I have since its in grey, but will have to do that tonight as I need to head to town soon.

I sometimes detect in the ballfield next to the county jail house. They let trustees mow that park in orange shirts or jumpsuits. So don't think I want to wear orange! They might come over and tell me its time to get back to the cell.

These are all GREAT ideas!

I like the pulltab one, but perhaps "cleaning up our environment" would be better and covers all hunting groups. I also hope there will be shirts in colors, I never wear white shirts, especially when hunting since I am prone to sometimes wiping finds off on my clothes.

Yeah, after I posted the Cleaning up Beaches/Parks, my afterthought was "Cleaning up the Earth, One pulltab at a time." But Environment would work too.
