I would love to own one. Someday, I might. One of my customers has one as a necklace. Her husband is a jeweler, and I heard the gold coin, bezel, and chain cost $250, at the time. She was surprised I knew what it was.

I bought two modern 1 oz gold eagles and paid $3,500.

That was at $1,750 gold.

I really like the early gold, I've bought several from my local dealer at very low premiums.

I was metal detecting with a friend in Lake St. Clair and he found one. I traded a CZ-20 for it but that was I believe in 2005. He wanted my backup machine and I wanted the coin.

Some boater had it around his neck! Still haven't found the chain. Would love to eyeball that critter!! Somebody else might have found it. It was at a very popular boaters beach.

At $1305 gold, that's not a great deal at all. You can buy MS63's for that price.

You gotta love the old big gold coins. You should check out the old 8 Escudos coins. Those are honkers!


Now, you really wanna get excited, try holding a Kilo gold bar. That's a trip. Or even better, a Comex good delivery bar.

This was so cool because of that video. I watched it a couple times and now I have one in my hand a week later...very cool!
