1923?

Be tough to find an owner. They'd be 112 assuming they graduated at 18 years old.

My research found that back then, the companies would just show up to the schools with a bunch of pre-made rings with the year on them, in a bunch of different sizes. You bought one or you didn't. No real choices in design, and unless engraved, the ring may be the same as 500 other schools across the country. As a result finding a school is hard and an owner even more so. It's likely a lost cause, but the first few attempts can be fun for the learning.

Cheers,

Skippy

I agree, the owner I most likely find. Just wanted some history. I'll wait to see if they answer me. Still a very cool first Gold for me to have

First one a "junker" ... I'll trade you my 50 pop tabs in my bag for it.

Class ring is cool - a little style. Both are excellent finds.

KC......... it cost me 48 pop tab digs to get to the ring..................
I don't know, just a two tab profit? :?: :?:
let me think about i9t and I'll get back to you.

All of you , really, I am thrilled to have a find like this combined with the
' firsts ' that go along with it BUT..........

Isn't it finding something like this that
DRIVES US TO GO BACK OUT AND HUNT SOME MORE?
keeps the hobby going doesn't it?

It sure does Bill, Iv'e only found one gold ring in the dirt and Iv'e been digging foil, pulltabs, and canslaw ever since trying to make it happen again.
Congrats to you on a couple of beauties! That vintage gold is awesome!!
