1787 Fugio Cent!

Sick. That is just plain sick. Here in CA, they make historic monuments out of sites that date to the late 1700s to 1800-ish. But over there, there are places where EVERY HOUSE ON THE BLOCK can be that old. Ssssheeessk, no wonder your sandboxes are full of LC's and colonial coppers :iwish:

That's nothing, I found a 1986 memorial this weekend. Beat you by a year.

Oops, you said 1787.

Well, maybe next time.

(Nice find)

Daaaaaang jimmy, that is a coin that very few people will ever see come out of the dirt in person, big CONGRATS!

I have seen on ebay where a coin in pretty much your condition as is was about 47 bucks.. I don't know how much grading costs but personally if I owned it .. I would clean it up and then have it graded

if I was in the buying market.. I would prefer that over crusty.. I want to see every detail I can..

in the least you would get an easier sell an if you couldn't sell it then keep that sucker and show it off to your buddies

Wow, thats in amazing shape... So sweet!!! Congrats! I think it's one of the best US coins ever!

Hope it wasn't in my town right across the lake from New York...... ;)

Awesome find, once in a lifetime for sure!!!!

Just a beutiful coin .. Congradulations!
