    Civil War era nail?

    found this nail. cleaned off very thick coating of rust with brass brush. It was found in an area where I found two other civil war relics, a flat button and carved bullet. I can tell the point of the nail was hammered flat. Just wonder why small nail would have such a large head. any ideas...

    Bullet Casings and Miscellaneous Items

    Found these today...two bullet casings (one marked 'Rem' and the other marked 'C'), something that resembles a tag or nameplate, and a chisel or giant nail?? Anyone have any ideas on these things? Thanks in advance!

    How old are these tiny nails?
