The price tag is very much like the repair bill at the auto shop I work for. You’re not paying 121$ an hour for my 8-9 time slot. You’re paying for the last 27 years of experience and the master tech in the bay. In the case of new technology, you’re not paying for the actual materials and assembly, you’re paying for the R&D and the top of the line minds who are currently in the field, and of course the reputation the company has built. Now whether this is XP, Minelab, FT.…doesn’t matter. The company is looking to recoup their investment and then some, that’s WHY they’re in business. There are dealers who are hangin’ tough at 1,599$ because it’s early and there aren’t any units. But if you’re paying that, just be aware it’s not the best price available.
