Last Weekend of Detecting is NUTS!!

Congrats on the killer finds !
A very high end machine will a very big coil used by a very skilled operator = good stuff !

Thanks MA,I’m hoping a lot of things. For another machine to come along and get even MORE coins out of our sites would be something else,if it does it easily. Only time will tell,as has been said a million times already but it’s the truth. We need that puppy in the hands of experienced detectorists PRONTO!
I assume you have one ordered? I don’t,I’m waiting to try Air Force Mikes!

Nope I don't have one ordered. I'm not in any rush.

Thanks ET! I don’t know about the “very skilled op” part but the thing is...you don’t even have to be! I appreciate the the compliment.
You’re spot on. Good ID on the machine, good site, big coil. It certainly won’t work everywhere, but where it does it’s ridiculously good!

Makes me want to run out and get a big coil for my e-Trac.
Great job!

I tell you what Wiz,with the success you’ve had in the relatively short time you’ve had the eTrac,it wouldn’t hurt to have the larger coil and go back over some of your places. The general consensus has been(not by all) that there are coins that are JUST out of reach.... of usually the biggest coil that person currently has. You stick a Tornado or an X-12 or a 13” Ultimate on there? It’s possible JUST by switching coils to increase the size of the detection field and now see an inch or two deeper. In some places, that layer has never been reached, and if it has, probably not by an eTrac. If you are able,I would HIGHLY suggest it,especially if you have large open areas where you think there may be very very deep coins.
Thanks!

Awesome finds Great outing Congrats

Thanks a lot GW! We are gonna get some nasty weather here later this week and into next,so I’m quite pleased to have gone out on the highest of notes. It’s true...the fat lady HAS sung!
Merry Xmas!

It’s a sweetheart Troy,I haven’t found a smooth a Walker yet! Plenty of other ugly stuff but these have been great! Thanks a lot,Merry Xmas and good luck next season!
Thanks Ill need it I haven't found anything worthwhile since I started detecting lol. Not a single silver coin.

I agree, I'm a believer now. Great finds by the way!

Thanks Dan! I see you’ve taken to the 17” like a duck to water. There are certain highlights along my detecting career that are very notable, the biggest is the ASTOUNDING results I’ve seen from the 17. Even though after awhile it gets to be a PIG,I can’t sacrifice the performance for “ease of use”. Some things ya gotta work for,the Pro Swing helps enormously with it.

So I just pulled the trigger on a 13" Detech Ultimate coil.
It's one of the white ones. Anyone know if there's really any difference between the white and black one besides color?

No difference I’ve ever heard of Wiz. Some say the black coil may heat up in the sun and somehow that might make it distort and disturb the null...just pulling your leg. No difference.

To add,I ordered the white one and the black one showed up for my Explorer,so unless you’ve seen it in person already it could be either....

I got it on eBay so I know for sure that it's the white variety.

IDXMONSTER ,

Sure like reading your posts. I can relate to a lot of your finds. I use a CTX3030 and an E-trac. My oldest coin find in Wisconsin so far - a 1774 2 Reale found in Vernon county on private property ( with permission ). Can't wait for the 2018 hunt...I will be retired by then. Time for "winter research".

congrats on the silver!

Thanks a million Calabash! Happy New Year and keep up the good work. Boy do I WISH there was more history to my area but I’ll take what I can get! It’s been surprisingly good so far,I’m hoping we can all keep the finds coming and uncover more great finds!
