Should I trade??

I have a guy that has a twice used Deus with the wireless headphones that wants to trade me. He wants my Etrac with the sunray probe plus my 17" CTX coil and lower Rod. Keep in my mind that I do own a CTX also. Would you guys make that trade??

Have never used a Dues but saw one is action at the JGD Relic hunt and it was pretty awesome. I could not believe how light it was.
That being said, I do own the E Trac (partly on your recommendation) and I love this machine. A little bit of a learning curve but when it clicked I was on fire!
AS far as pricewise I think you would be pretty even as I still see used E Tracs going for $1200 and am thinking the Dues with the wireless is bout that?
I would be very interested in hearing your thoughts if you do make the trade.
 
Well I'm pretty sure my Etrac is out of warranty and the Deus is brand new. I got to think about that too

Not if its your only 17" CTX coil. You can cherry pick quarters to buy a Deus with that thing on the beach. I actually nicknamed mine the mower deck.
 
Nope. And I currently run 2 deus units. Have had 2 etracs in the past and a CTX. A fair trade would be straight up. Go look at the new list prices. You could let the probe go with the trade.

17" CTX coil and lower rod, you can get a pretty penny for it in a separate sell.

BTW if you have a CTX, a deus is real good to have to complement the CTX.
Deus is a very good detector, will definitely see targets the CTX won't/can't. This based on my testing and using both machines over the same in ground undug targets.

The 17" coil and lower Rod is what he really wants in the trade the Etrac is just to make up the diff. The guy owns a CTX also

Yah, and you're getting the shaft and he's getting the gold mine.


If you want a Deus, you could just sell your etrac outright, and the same with your 17" coil and rod. Then buy used Deus. Used deus units can be had reasonable. I've seen 2 nice used units go for $1000 just lately.

And IMO if you have a CTX, you certainly don't need an etrac. You'd be better equipped with CTX and Deus--killer combo

If I sold them outright my wife would just keep the money lol

Smart move, don't worry about the warranty on your etrac bro, mine is old , no problem's, it is NOT a CTX :lol: sorry bro., had to throw that one in :hornetsnest:, the Dues is over rated , Park Hunter had one, he got rid of it and swing's a CTX3030 :yes:, happy hunting Earl PS He was trying to rob you bro., wise decision :chaplin:

Have you ran a Deus???
I have.
Detector is not overrated.
I mean, it's talked about as being lightweight, wireless. Has great audio, and for its coil size, a real good detector in the iron.
Actually if you will look around on the forums, many are saying their yearly silver coin totals are actually higher using Deus, after coming off of CTX and Etrac.
It is a very good detector, and believe it or not is one of the top performer VLF detectors in higher mineralized dirt.
It is so good, that's the reason for my comment above=CTX and Deus is a killer combo.
