I'll make a deal with everyone. You all put your money together and buy me one, and I'll do a review and let you know how it performs!
In all honesty, I have my name on the list for the first shipment (I hope!) and I'll do a video review of performance, features, etc.
Well where I come from more sensitivity means greater depth of detection. But my wife tells me I'm wrong most the time
That's what it means here too but, so far, all we have is a pre release of information, which ain't been verified by anyone. Garretts might be saying "sensitivity", and it has nothing to do with actual depth sensitivity at all. I heard the thing has multiple tones.
All I am saying is that IMPO, I wouldn't go and pre-order for one at Garretts full MSRP before I even had one detectorist out there give a review. Has anyone actually found any kind of review on this thing? martin
You gonna dive with it
If it says waterproof to 10, then I'll take it down to 10! The only problem is that with the winter weather I won't be diving for a while. It makes it hard to get out of your gear when it freezes solid before you can get back to the truck!
Definitely want one! When, and how much do you need, Garrett?
I wouldn't use it for all of my water hunting, but in rivers that is the perfect tool! It can be really hard to chase down targets in a rocky river bottom! I made a water-resistant housing, of sorts, for mine, but having one designed to go as deep as my AT Pro would be awesome! Now, it had BETTER come with a lanyard loop!
Mehhhhh never mind the water proofing, how about garrett just makes one that doesn't false when pressure is applied to it. I've gone through 3 GPPs already and I don't hunt that often.
I would imagine they reverse engineered a TRX to gain the depth the propointer never had.
Anyone know if there is a pinpointer that goes to 30-40 meters (depth in the water)? I think the garrett is good for around 3 meters.
Let Jason dive with one. Rain isn't chit for testing something. I hunt in the rain with non waterproof headphones. One set is 3 years old. But diving in water where the temperature changes is where it should be tested. It's like someone playing Guitar in a building. Then someone asks them to play outside in the cold by a campfire. All sorts of issues
Don't worry someone will be here shortly telling us all your falsing on those three GPP's of yours is simply down to how YOU have been using them as a shovel and a hammer
I feel for your frustration sir & I too hope they have rectified that problem with these NEW waterproof ones
