My favorite low price detector *was* the Eurotek Pro, until I got a Bounty Hunter Land Ranger PRO. The Land Ranger PRO has notches where you can just take out a category part way, good selection of tones & disc settings, just push buttons. Some programs are manual ground balance (iron accepted) or Ground Grab & the higher disc programs just use preset ground balance.
I like LR PRO notches & notch width & being able to pick up some nickels while rejecting most tabs & the medium tone for nickels & low tone for zincs might be fun. Some might be liking the ET Pro so they have more control over how iron is heard, or if it is heard. The 11" DD coil with sens turned up hears what must be ground minerals softly. Over my dime planted 5" deep, the beeps are loud on both, with IDs mostly OK.
But some may prefer the ET Pro with less adjustment options as maybe simpler.
On the LR PRO the ID in dozens of passes never once went down to zinc & no low or medium tones.
Besides the huge numerical ID (quite accurate even in preset), there are tiny labels for the ID & a couple dark marks show up there. I can read those tiny IDs somehow & read they are illuminated, low, medium, or high conductivity range light comes on when something detected in that range & the little ID shows for three seconds, then goes away as the light turns off. A nickel can be made to be low or middle tone. 11" DD coil & many dealers sell them under $300.
It beat the Eurotek Pro on dime air test 9.5" on LR Pro, 9" ET Pro. Also the Land Ranger Pro is quiet in my yard with sensitivity up all the way. The coil is a push-in with the optional coils being the 8" & 10" BH concentric coils. BH also has a new Quick Draw PRO for those who don't have bad mineralization. Like the ET Pro, preset ground balance for about the price of the Eurotek Pro with 8" concentric, but the QD PRO comes with a 6x10" concentric coil. Has the non-motion pinpoint. Best wishes.
