Advice on what Beach Machine to get

im going to be ordering a beach machine off of kellyco in a few hours, what machine do you guys think i should get being a beginner with beach hunting.

1.Fisher 1280x-$679.00
2.Garrett Sea Hunter Mark II - note this is through kellyco on amazon though. $637.00
3.Tesoro Sand Shark-$577.00

id like to get advice on what machine to get i have a maximum budget of $720.00.

If you are hunting saltwater forget the Fisher as its a freshwater machine... the other two are PI's and you will dig everything...

i dont mind digging everything my beach is the type youd want to, ive heard of some of the members of the club im in pull rolex's and platinum rings and stuff, im not in this only for rings, but if im going to find them then id rather dig it all, there is very little trash on my beaches so Pulse detectors will work fine from what i know after browsing the web

I didn't even notice that till you pointed it out Ron. Your absolutely right, he has just about the best beach detector there is right now.
And you can put it in pinpoint all metal(on the GT) and it will hang in depth with some pulse machines Ive used. Super deep in all metal.
Chest mount it and your good to go!
 
Whites Dual Field can be bought for $700 new if you ask around. ;) That would be my choice if you want a PI.

But yeah, that Sovereign GT you have is about the best machine for the beach.
 
my sovereign is broken or something it does not work at all in the beach but it's fine in parks. It simply won't even detect a coin the surface at my local beach so I gave up on it. Besides my sovereigns for relic hunting and coin shooting I was going to get a pulse machine so I can search beaches properly.

I have a "Pulse" machine and it works great, but the GT gives me more options! Our beaches should not be that much different. It would be worth sending your GT in for a check-up.
 
Call a dealer and talk to them. They can offer you lower prices over the phone also. Don't be in a hurry. You want to get a detector that you will use.

i promised my clubmates id get a machine by tuesday, and i intend to do so.

i was thinking about forgoing beach hunting and going back to strictly land stuff but then as i said there is nowhere here to hunt all the areas are paved over and off limits to im basically being forced into beach hunting.
 
SH2 is not hardwired and can swap headphones and coils. I had mine for 4-5 years, it was built rugged and never required any repairs. Frequently, I see them sell used with (2) coils for under $500. You might consider calling the forum sponsors to see if they have any for sale.

I went ahead and bought one. It's going to arrive Monday only paid 580 new
