anyone that does any water hunting might be interested in this gadget. anyone that's hunted along the shore or in waist high water knows that the coil always has a tendancy to flip up. To help with this problem I took a piece of plexigas about 1/4 inch thick, 12 inches long and about 3 inches wide, and using a heat gun formed it to lay against the detector rod with a bend sort of like the letter with a heel for the coil to fit in so it can't flip up. then I drilled some holes through it to secure it to the rod with strap ties. works great. the coil is always flat for sweeping.
