I was able to do a little hunting Thursday, before a doctor appointment, at a park by the office. I found my first ring, and a bunch of fencing scraps, bottle caps, and other misc things. Also found a handle?? and a few pieces of cast iron drain pipe. Not sure what the ring is made of, looks like STEP and a G is stamped on the inside.

Looks like it's sterling :) Not Step.... You can make out the G on the end of the word.

Good find.

Yep, that definitely reads "STERLING" only it's worn so it looks like "STEP G"

You can faintly see the L and I. :)

Cheers! and nice find! Sterling rings are always fund. There' out there, too! I find about 30-60 a year.

Cheers,

Skippy

Congrats on the sterling ring!! I love hearing my detector go off when the coil gets over a silver ring!!! Co grats again!!!

Sterling is always nice to find. My first ring was also sterling and I can still take you to within three feet of where I found it.
