Im new to metal detecting, Just picked up a Minelab Vanquish 540 last month. So Im looking forward to getting started detecting.
 
Howdy Oregon, from Missouri. In the 1970's I worked there ~5 years in the desert in Oregon & liked walking Oregon Trail finding stuff, besides in the mountains around mines. Like I'm at the "Show Me" state and anxious seeing of pix's of things you find.

ha, have you noticed this trend too ? Persons come on introducing themselves. They ask a few questions or make some comments in the process. Others here come on saying "welcome" and take a stab at the questions/comments. Lo & behold, the O.P. never returns to continue any dialogue, or say "hi" back, etc....
