Long neck eagle collar or cuff stud? Possibly wax seal stamp?

Can anyone ID my buddy's find?
He's trying to get better pics.
The eagle has the long "chicken neck" look and you can still see a little gild on it.
It's about nickle sized.
Button, collar or cuff stud, wax seam stamp maybe?

I couldn't find an exact match, but what you might have is an emblem out of a saw. Several different companies used the eagle.
