I was out earlier today with the Nox on one of my permissions, in a field that had never really produced anything…
Being November in Wales, it was damp and a little miserable and it was a drag to get myself out detecting, but I am certainly glad I did…
The first few finds were the usual rubbish, but then I got a screaming 23 signal on the Nox which I assumed was an ali drinks can, but dug it anyway.
I was therefore stunned to see the gold ring below….A closer look, and I was even more stunned to see the internal inscription “My Hart Is Yovrs” in what might be termed old fashioned English…
I am not sure of its exact age yet, but probably the 1600’s or perhaps a touch older…
