So Saturday went out with DirtFishingDan and Jshanks. Started at a older school got myself two wheat pennies but the ground was like concrete. So we headed out from there. Next we headed to a little park adjacent to a city hall that at one time had a house pre 1960. Well at that spot I found something that has eluded me since day one, a silver quarter not just any silver but a Barber 1914d. Very very happy can’t explain how much this means to me. I have found a seated half and a seated dime, a walking liberty half and 2 other barber dimes as well as mercs and rosies. But this quarter is huge for me. So for the year to date I am at 37 silver coins as to in previous years it was zero. We decided to eventually move on to three other spots that were pretty uneventful but after the last spot Jshanks took off and DirtFishingDan and myself went back to where I snagged that barber quarter. And there was more. We only did about another 45 minutes but I got a great signal but abandoned it as the ground in that spot was hard. About a foot and a half from there I got barber two for the day it was a 1908s barber dime. It had some crazy tarnish being right next to the road. Told Dan I had a very similar signal in the previous plug about a foot away. He powered through the hard as hell dirt and unearthed a merc. Once it rains we will go back. Thanks for looking and this year has been blessed for me detecting.
