Civ lapel pin?

Came from an area that was a non combat camp in NY. Not sure if any Illinois regiments were there. Pin is brass. Old style “C” clasp. Any help is appreciated. It’s an abbreviation for Illinois. ILL.

I don't think it's from thge CW. I myself have never seen a lapel or collor pin . I'm pretty sure it's not CW, butmaybe a personal pin for a man or a woman, civilian derss.

Thank you. The “c” clasp is an old style, and all I could tell was it was not modern.. I appreciate the positive identification. Never thought to check National Guard. Mystery solved.
