When you hunt and fish the same day it’s called fin and feathers. I turkey hunted a couple hours but kept thinking about what I might find metal detecting so quit early and started detecting in the area. A 1900 farm where I found a lot of nice items before. Today was two Lincoln pennies 1916 and 1917, a tax token from Oklahoma oddly enough, Silver plated pocket watch cover with fancy on it,a very decorative iron Medallion, buckles, cosmetic cans, rivets and a double bitted axe.
Also an Oliver plow point, a tube that hailed shaving cream called black and white. The tax token says “for old age pensions“. Apparently they were used to give a customer change when the tax amounted to A half a cent. The customer then used the token on his next purchase. Why an Oklahoma tax token was found deep in the woods of West Virginia will always be a mystery. By the way, that token was in a hole with a horseshoe. I was using a tiny NEL Snake coil which found it amongst all that iron

Congrats on the wheats and a fine hunt, I dug that same token in a city park up here in Pgh. Mine was in a hole with a couple old wheaties. They sure do get around. Good luck, Mark

I’m planning on taking the detector when I go out and paint... now I have to come up with a name! Oils & Rust? Brushes & Bobbydazzlers? Pictures & Patina?
I love the hobby combos.

“Hey, do you remember that old battle axe I found? I married ‘er!”
