Hello everyone
I hope this is a find that Sparks people's interest as it is my first post for an identification possibility
I would love to hear your differing opinions and ideas on what the object may be?
it is made of Bronze and it originally had the remnants of wood on the flat end of it I hope we can come to a resolute conclusion as to what it is as it is playing on my mind lol
thanks for your time and I eagerly await your input.

oh I forgot to mention it has marks in the shape of 3 small lines (see 1st picture) maybe a maker's mark?

The tip looks like a Philips screwdriver. What size is it? Can you post a pic with something like a coin for a size reference?

Looks a lot like a Phillips. Are we sure it is bronze? Magnet test?

hi thanks for your prompt response
I have now included photographs of it with a queen Elizabeth penny. I thought a close up shot of the head and an image taken looking down the tapered end. The grooves are not symmetrical/uniform which allows me to summise that a machine did not produce the peice. Anyway enough speculation from me. I can't wait to read all your input and expertise.

The mark is similar to the 1983 on this "snap-on" tool marking chart.

1983 Snap-On Phillips Screwdriver! Amazing to be that precise on a Screwdriver ID. Nice job.

Definitely looks like a Phillips Screwdriver broken off or possibly a bit. Evidently the 1983 Snap-On type.
