Default Pocket watch cover?

I found this at the park today. Park dates back to 1860. Not sure if itís a dust cover for a pocket watch.

Now that is a really cool find!

Indeed, it unquestionably looks like a watch cover.

How deep and which detector?

Yep. That's the back cover of a very old pocket watch. I like the fancy, old-timey engravings all over it, even if I can't read half of it.

Did some searching and interesting thing is that apparently practically none of watches marked this manner ever saw Liverpool...they are actually Swiss made.

Some watch forum(s) had several topics about these watches..the 'patent lever' is pure market talk
