Cool flask! There are several modern blue flasks 典he American System online, selling for about $7-$18. Do you have any more details about the find, like age of site, etc?

Don't mean to burst your bubble but clearly a reproduction, right down to the fake pontil scar. Been digging bottle for 40+ years and can guarantee what I say is correct.

I posted your bottle at Antique-Bottles. Here's what they're saying:

https://www.antique-bottles.net/show...ication-needed

I read somewhere that anytime you find one of these very old flasks that is not the common aqua the chance it is a repro goes up as colors other than aqua were made in very low numbers.

Yeah, most likely a re-pop. But still, a nice colored window bottle. There is definately a place in bottle collecting for these. If one new collector emerges from finding one and gets into collecting it has served its' purpose. I have a Civil War era Scroll flask that I suspect is a remake, but I still display it proudly along with my others.

We need to get out soon! I found an "older" bottle while they were working on the dam on Lake George in Hobart. My back says I need more old bottles! (Coins too!)

That shape on the bottom is a distinctive trademark for Wheaton. Nice little replica bottle!
