Maybe the Apex? I mean, what other simultaneous multi-frequency (SMF) machine is available (or soon to be available), is entry level and is not from Minelab?
I'd say the Apex is a more advanced machine, though, at least with respect to features. We'll see if its SMF works "better" than Multi-IQ, though.

For the price, nothing because it's multifrequency and it will work in saltwater!
Back around 2011 the lowest price saltwater detector I could find was a new seahunter 2 for $637.00!
