It rained hard here all morning, but lunch come and the rain stoped. So out for a quick hunt I went. This site is 1700s and it’s in a picked corn field. Since the last time I was there the field was disked. Which was good for swinging, but it made things muddy. The last time I was here I had my small coil on and worked the nails over pretty hard. I decided to put my big coil on and stay well out side of the home site. I started across the field and I hadn’t gone very far and got a fair signal and dug a half of a copper coin. Started working this spot slow and got a button than another piece of the coin I think it’s a kg2. I never found the last piece of it. Not far away I found a little thimble and a second copper. This one is holed. My first holed copper. I think it’s a kg3.

Is the holed coin a New Jersey?
In the dark "curved band" on the upper left side. MY eyes see part of the horses head (obverse?). which kind of pointed to the plow in lower right center.
The reverse(?) would have a shield, if I'm not mistaken.

Congrats on the coppers! Nice thimble too, I am hoping to find a nice silver thimble one day.

I double checked the holed copper. I would have liked it to be a New Jersey because I don’t have one. I’m pretty sure it’s a kg3. But I thank you for asking. I had a unidentifiable copper a few months ago and some one on this forum helped me with a Id of my first Vermont.

I went to this site this evening for a hour before dark. I found two old things not sure what they are. I did find a quarter size Tom back button. Not many signals here anymore.
