During Thanksgiving week, I hunted about everyday somewhere.a few times at the old country store (see below)
There I found an 1893 Indian and a 1947 silver Rosie. I also found a battered ring with a red stone which when cleaned turned out to be marked Sterling and was made by Uncas.
It is pretty old, I see similar from the 1930’s. I bought a ring mandrel and some jewelry pliers and was able to make it go back to pretty good shape.
I’ve also made this framed gift for the homeowners containing coins and a silver plated spoon from the site…
I used Velcro to attach the coin holders. I think they will appreciate it.

I heard stories of an old store across from a church with an established in 1860 sign. I talked to the landowner who I go to church with and he allowed me to hunt the property where the store used to be. Maps showed two buildings on that corner back to at least 1911. Newspaper articles from 1950 indicated a store in that area.
That makes a total of 6 Indians, 3 V nickels , 2 Buffalo, 3 Barber dimes, 2 mercury dimes, e silver Rosie & 23 wheat
