And the same to you. I was and still in my mind am a Marine (68-70). I would post a picture of myself but it would exceed the handsome quota allowed on this site . Also always remember, the older you get the better you were.

Enlisted in Feb 1969. After Boot Camp and then EO "A" School I thought for sure I would get orders to Nam, but went to Fallon, NV and then Adak, AK. After that got attached to MCB 10 who were headed for Rota, Spain.

Thanks to all who served!

My best friend was a Marine. I referred to him once as an ex-Marine and he said there is no such thing as an ex Marine. They are always Marines.
 
U.S. Air Force 1969-1973

After boot camp in San Antonio (Lackland AFB) and tech school in Biloxi, MS (Keesler AFB), I served in Tampa FL (MacDill AFB). I then served on a remote radio relay site in Karatas, Turkey for a year on a “fixed” Troposheric Scatter radio relay system. Back in the states, I worked on mobile tropospheric scatter systems at Shaw AFB in Sumter, SC. Discharge as an E-5 in March ‘73
