Have been out of metal detecting a while - trying to get started back. Have a v3i that is about 10 years old (more or less ). Am unhappy with depth on some items. Exp - can hit and fairly well id a quarter at 10". However can't hit ( not even a whisper ) a 400 gr lead bullet ( 45-70 ) at 8". Is this 'normal' ? Would like to go deeper on all objects. Have changed and gone through most settings (rd, rx, disc, am, tracking, gb ) - nothing helps. Thinking about getting the Detech 13". Does anybody have any 'real' info on performance and quality of this product. Would appreciate any help.
