Show me your foreign coins

This Canadian 5 cent piece was found about 6" from where the 3 cent was dug up.

That’s interesting I like that foreign coins but when it’s next to that sexy Trime as a matter fact I found 2 myself

Yes, I agree that is what is interesting. Best guess it was brought to Tennessee by someone going over to Europe during WWI and then their child or grandchild lost it. Just imagine all the things that person saw if they truly were in Europe during WWI.

Here are some of my foreign coin finds.

So tough to find, and you found 2. Good huntin'.

The Trime and Canadian 5 cent were found where a train stop was once located. Also found a cool looking RR tag in the vicinity. The logo on it was used until 1926, if I remember correctly.

The oldest coin that I have ever found. The guy I was with was ready to leave so I hurried and scratched it. It gave me a quarter reading. i thought it was a large cent when it came out of the ground.

That coin fooled me twice. Both on the same property but not in the same hunt or area of the yard. The first time I didn't take it out of the little clump of dirt until I got home. I was expecting a large cent. The second time I was recording video. It rang up at 20-21 on the Equinox in Park 1, but it was a little scratchy with a lower conductor nearby. I was fooled for a minute until I got it into the light and remembered the other coin and saw enough to ID it. The wild thing is that I then drove to a different property and dug a large cent, which beat these coins by about 20-30 years.

I’m glad I made this post it has me looking through all my foreign coins and realizing how cool they really are!! This first one I realized it was German from the swastika and after doing some research I’m starting to believe Adolf Hitler I’m starting to realize he was nothing but a big jerk

This my oldest foreign coin by far. Strange thing is how a 1885 20 Reis coin from Portugal wound up where I found it.
