What a day! Worm and I went to our usual site this morning. Things started off slow although my 2nd target was a wheat. After that it was just clad. So we both went to an area we hadn't hit much before. Worm got a merc, then not long after that I hit another belt sanded SLQ, my 3rd no date slq of the year. Just a few minutes after my slq, Worm gets a really nice, chunky silver bracelet. So we both settled down and started working that area really well. So, after a few more clads I get a slightly bouncy 12/13 on the nox. Thinking it's either a nickel or a beaver tail off a pulltab, I flip the plug and see shiny yellow! A smashed 10k ring...my first gold fty! Then literally about a minute later Worm yells "silver" and brings a silver rosie over to show me. A few seconds after that he goes back over to where he was digging and he yells "silver" again. A silver GW! He goes back and yells "silver" again. This time it's a '57 big ben! He walks back over to his hole and yells "silver" for the fourth time! (He's starting to sound like a broken record) this time it's a walking liberty half!! Again he goes back and hits another silver rosie! I had to go over there and see what kind of silver mine he had dug In all, he pulled 5 silvers, a buffalo nickel, 3 wheats and an old case pocket knife out of the same hole!! Worm also got the foreign coin of the day...a 1922 2 franc piece. What a day! This was definitely our best combined day yet.
