I honestly tried to figure out what these pieces were to, or used for but..NO luck

Got me too. First one kinda reminds me of a thermostat valve from a coolant system(car, tractor, or something)

The round one is a thermostat but what for? The other part is a cover for something.

Yep, old style thermostat, the baffles were filled with a liquid like alcohol and expand like an accordion when it gets hot, opening the thermostat. Shake it, you might be able to hear it slosh around if its still got some in it. Not sure on the other piece.

I think the other piece is a muffler deflector off a small engine.
