Tree looks like an owl ,hubby says rock looks like space people ,,,maybe it's an old survey marker.

Interesting rock. It does look worked. Pour some water on it to see if it exposes it more, or if its flat enough take some sidewalk chalk and paper, and do an etching.

And post an update if you do!
