Default A silver wing

This little thing is really heavy for its size. I found it curb stripping. Its about the size of a penny and it came from a site that goes back to 1800's

Any ideas?
Thanks for looking

I wonder if it was a ring originally. One side seems clearly broken, but do both ends have break marks?

Thanks guys, unfortunately that is exactly what it is. That's depressing I though it was some kind of WW1 pilots badge. Nope its a cheap motorcycle ring that you can buy of of aliexpress.com.

thanks again
