Plow point and parts?

I found these as well as several other items in between two giant oak trees in the Uhwarrie mountains. The place used to be an Indian reservation until gold was discovered, then it became a heavily mined area in just a short while. Remnants of the camps and old rail can be found. This was near a long abandoned observation shack.

Any ideas on the make and age of the plow point? I think I can make out what looks like a "B" just along the broken edge, but other than that...

What is the rest of this stuff? The rectangular piece reminds me of tool steel, something like an old broken wedge. It is extremely heavy, imo, too heavy to be a wedge.

Thank you very much. Logging chain? Does that imply that at one time the end would have been sharp? Or is this a pin for holding the chain in place?

On the chain i would guess it just had a hook on the end, looms like half the hook is still there. This is just my guess...
