Default Brass ring
Found in a old logging area in utah. That is a regular lighter. it has a bevel on the edges looks just like a ring and has the same wear and oval shape like a ring.

Maybe its one of these? The wear means some moving part? The beveled edge means some seal was seated there? I don't know.

Many old brass rings, actual rings which were plated, can look identical to compression rings, also brass.
