Finally got out to hunt today at my Civil War site. Don't have a clue on these three items.

the curved piece of iron - a shell fragment? But the curve seems to be a very slight curve so I have my doubts. Plus it is just about 1/4" thick. To thin for a plow, but I am guessing shell fragments are thicker.

the round items looks like made by blacksmith or hand made since it is slightly ill-regular.

last item is really a mystery to me. it still moves and looks like a piece of machinery or part of a what?

thanks for any help you can provide. I know it they will be identified it will be by you guys.

First piece isn't shrapnel, likely a piece of a camp stove or cooking pot/pan.

Second piece looks similar to a musket barrel band, the larger band closest to the hammer.

Third piece I'm thinking some sort of post war hinge.

Well it does not move like a traditional hinge. It basically just moves apart about 1/4". There is loose play in it so if you try to move it like a hinge it just barely moves like a hinge about 1/8" inch.

My guess part of some kind of machine.
