Got out the past two nights hoping for some nice erosion. Got to the spot to see the entire beach covered in 3” of seaweed and trash. If I lived closer to the beach I probably would’ve stayed home. It’s always the hunts where you’re not even sure if you should go that turn out best. As it turns out, there was clay under that seaweed in one spot so I spent 3 hours in that little spot until the tide chased me out. 2 gold, 1 platinum, 3 silvers and an Indian head cent.
I need to test the middle ring for purity but the class ring is an oldie and was cracked in the back….sounded like can slaw. It was suggested that FFC could stand for Free Christian Fellowship. Would love to figure out where that ring came from!
After a hunt like that, I went back last night like any good pirate would, but it got sanded in even worse overnight and didn’t find much at all.
Season is off to a good start at least.
