Bulk Lead Markings or ????

Found this lead at an 1880s farmhouse down at 9 inches. It has a good cream color patina that doesn’t present in the photos. There are numerous notches and sharp edges. I haven’t found anything like it before but assume it is bulk lead for making bullets. I did find shotgun headstamps from early 1900s in same vicinity. Has anyone found something like it or can confirm my assumptions or clue me in to what it is? Thanks!

I think the way to cut lead is to hammer through it with a chisel, maybe that is the reason for the jagged hack marks. Its like someone was cutting up just enough to fill the melting pot and make the bullets they wanted to pour.

I think its plumbers lead that was cut off a pipe fitting
