BE REAL CAREFUL posting and rightfully bragging about that. Make sure your ducks are in order and no one else has the slightest claim to that amazing find.
Finds like that usually will get unwanted attention from historical people who will fight to take it.
Maybe not but be smart.
Dont be the guy who goes on the news and then has it taken away
I had a similar situation and people who I thought were interested and helping me research, were really getting info on where I found it so they could make a claim.

THAT SAID.... THAT IS UNBELIEVABLY AWESOME!!$!!

Thanks......have it locked up in a safe, location is marked on my property and have checked laws regarding ownership. Am waiting now to have the timeline of the production of the badge. There are no others from that time on the department to compare it to. Old photos show uniformed officers but they are grainy, though the badges do appear to have same shape. Appreciate the heads up and sorry that you had to go through a bad experience. I will not use a local authority. Have a blessed day!
