Does anyone have any idea just what this bottle was used for? I found it today and it appears to still have some of the "original" contents in it (with dirt on top of it). That's why I didn't empty it or clean it better!

It is approximately 2 inches tall; 9/16 inch thick; 1 inch across the front. And has an 8 on the bottom. Bonesquat thinks it could be a nail polish bottle (very old we think) ??????? I don't know. :?:

A pic of the bottom may help date it. Otherwise, it looks like an ABM, Automatic Bottle Machine, which would probably put it after 1900. To me, it looks like the 1950's.

Bottle Bottom

Here's the bottom of the bottle. The number is an 8.

Didn't think it was but it is interesting looking. Still a neat find considering it was found on a lot that had been heavily bulldozed and graded many times. It's a wonder it survived! :wow:
