Knocking on Doors

Does anybody ever knock on doors asking for permission. I never have because I dont want to make the hobby look bad, but Im at that point where I just need somewhere new to hunt. I've seen the guys on American Digger do it but I don't know whether to believe them or not, if it works Ill give it a shot.

You'll be surprised how many people will let you hunt their yard. I pretty much use goes4ever's way to get permission after I introduced myself. Had some 'NOs' as well, but the majority was actually really curious about it and didn't mind it at all. So just go for it (even though it still feels weird sometimes ;-) )

This forum is full of recommendations - just use "search" feature on "permissions"...
