Help With Tag I.D.

Found this at an older site but I don't Think its too old. It rings up mid 50's on my a.t. pro. Most likely nickle or a nickle type alloy. It has the letters B G on the shield and a large number (231077) at the bottom of the tag which may mean it was from something well known or common. The back is blank and its about as thick as a quarter. Any help would be great....Thanks

It's a store credit ID or "charge coin" from Gimble Brothers retail stores.
