Default Our local club to have displays of finds at Salisbury NC library for the month of July

Really nice display. I really like those heel plates. Nice of the local library to be interested in displaying your club's finds. I did notice something in your display that I have also found. (Although not in as nice a shape as yours) What is the thing with a raised heart on it?

That's been up for debate for many years. Back in the 70's & 80's it was thought to be a Confederate blanket roll buckle, but later it's thought to be horse tack or saddle buckle.
