My 8 year old wanted to detect this afternoon, and since I want to detect 24/7, off we went. Took him to our family farm in Ohio, where I've been playing 36 of my 37 years. A couple years back I discovered, much to my surprise, a house site in our woods. I can find nothing about this particular site on our local maps (1855, 1866, and 1878), but the owner of the land at those times is obviously known, so presumably this was a family member.

Hit it with my AT Pro originally and recovered the typical house stuff, plus a gold gilted two-piece button. Hit it with my Equinox 600 last summer and found a large cent (pretty toasty - seems to be 18-teens), and again this afternoon and recovered this gilted button, my second there. It's marked Wadhams Coe & Co., which was in business from 1835-1838. Always happy to find a little bling, but particularly at my family farm!

Anyways, hope you all had a great weekend. Just wanted to share.
