Gold ring with the Equinox 800

Got out for a few hours with the Equinox today. dug ten coins and this Artcarved 10k gold wedding band. Not bad for my fourth short hunt with the Nox. Too bad it was broken but it is still a gold ring.

Did you break that by accident when you were digging ?

And a ring with a separation fissure causes extremely low TID, right ?

I think it was already broken but I can't be 100% for sure. I ran it under the coil after I dug it up and it still read 16.

From the chip out of it that would be my guess too. I think if I hit it hard enough on edge to break it like that it would have bent first. Whatever broke it got it fast and clean.

16’s a tough number to dig but if gold is a possibility, probably should dig a lot of iffy numbers... Compadre made it “easy”, Nox, not so much!

Gotta love gold, even "broken" gold.

16s are REALLY tough to dig, since they're pull tabs at the parks....but every now and then you get a YOWZA.
