Finally! The harvest has started...

While working the other day, I noticed a bean field that I've hunted before (home site on the corner) was down. However, I've been working off of an earlier 1800's plat map. Taking a look at a late 1800's map, I've been able to find a bunch of former homesteads that are new to me. So I scouted one today...

Had a lot of targets once I located the iron patch (surprisingly not on the higher ground I thought it would be). This is my 3rd seated anything ever, and the first two I found within feet of each other. And my first "half dime" silver of any sort...

Happy Autumn!

Wow ! I'm flat out lusting ! I loved the finds, " in - situ " pictures and commentary . Congratulations ! A guy could spend a lifetime detecting on a piece of land like that !

Super seated and little canadien!Love the indians too ! Thanks for sharing !

Woohoo!! Can’t wait for the fields to start opening up again!! Ours should only be a couple weeks behind yours...

Fantastic seated with great detail, congrats! And a Queen Vicky silver! I’d love to get over some old Canadian silver, but for some reason I just haven’t seen any here despite being so close to our northern neighbor.

I also like that UMC New Club with the star burst around the primer...I just don’t see them with the star burst down here. Cool!

Nice hunting!

Awesome hunt!!! Nice variety there.
I'm usually good for a couple old Canadians a year , but I haven't had the pleasure yet this year......Still have time, I'll sniff one out soon.....
Grats on the old coins.

Additional find from that day... I did a little coin scratching and found that the one non-teen wheat penny is a 1932 Philly...one of the only Philadelphia wheats I need for my collection (dug). With only 9 million minted, nice to get that one out of the way. Soon it'll be just down to looking for Tom's hoarded San Francisco mints... not sure what I'll do about the 1944 slots though..
