The item on the top is a handle for a double edge razor. What is the item on the bottom? Top part is broken off. Recovered from an old house with old autos and farm equipment.

Thank you for any and all help.

Okay, I'm with you on this. I can see the resemblance to a churn of some type. I actually used a butter churn as a kid, and it had wooden blades on it if I remember correctly. Wouldn't the beater be made of something other than iron? Your picture doesn't look like it is made of iron. Would it have been coated with something?

It's iron, tin coated. I have one in the storage room. That square part on top sticks out of the freezer can top and into a gear box with a crank.

Google hand crank ice cream maker.

Good call. That was bothering me that it is iron and rusty. You have been very helpful. Thank you.
