I had about 45 mins before dark so I went across the street to my best site. I’ve hit this site hard lately. The best I’ve done in the last three or four time here have been two buttons. I was thinking I’ve cleaned it up. When I got there I noticed a adjoining field was mowed. So I headed to that field and that was a good choice. In 5 mins I had a very loud signal. So loud I was thinking it must have been a can. To my delight, out popped a 1817 large cent.

Wow...that largie is in decent shape. The only ones I've found are so toasted I'm happy to see Lady Liberty's profile, let alone get a date off it.
