electrolysis setup

No problem at all. Next time I get something cool to run through the tank I plan to run an extensive guide to post here. I just haven't been out too much lately in any iron.

I run it pretty often cleaning up my finds and then other people's finds too. Here's a link to mine, let me know what questions you have

Here's also a sword I found and ran through the tank

Nice finds! Interesting use of rust dissolver post electrolysis. What's the rust converter like long term? Ever had any breakdown over a long period of time? Thanks for sharing.

No returning rust or surface color changes. Everything is still clean. My only complaint with it is how black it colors everything after. It's not horrible, but some things I like the gray metal colors

I started out using a cell phone charger where i clipped off the charging end and soldered two alligator clamps. Worked great. The I found an old 6/12 auto battery charger in my garage and I use that now. I thought it would be more powerful, but apparently the capacity of the electrolytic solution (salt water for me) to carry current is the limiting factor. In either case I have had great results.
