Default My first old finds

Iíve been hunting what I think is a mid 1800s house several times. My best find was two wheat pennies. Until today I found my first 1904 Indian and what I think is a New York excelsior staff officer button. It looks like it may have been hit with a disk or planter. Iím happy with my find, and very excited about hitting it again. Iíve hit the yard several times. But the field 25feet away from the house will be harvested soon and I have access to it also. Canít wait for the corn to come down.

Nice button! Bet if you found that then there should be some more nice coins in the same time period.

MDM thanks for the pic. A little rough but still an awesome save. They are great looking coins. And I hear ya, I felt the same way when I started. I thought why the heck didn't I start this 20 years ago. Quite the rewarding hobby. Literally. And I agree with others, probably alot more old targets at that site. Good luck, Mark

Iíve been back several times to the 1800s house where I found my first Indian and New York button. I didnít find anything until the corn come down. I was out there while they taking it down, but all I found was a 1919 wheat. Until this afternoon. I only found one good find but for me itís a great find! I think itís a 1836 large cent. Wow I love this s- -t!
