How can they justify the price tag of a new Cortes in today's market? I had two, and they were fun machines to use, but I bought them both used for around $400. The GB is only in AM, it's not waterproof or wireless, there's not frequency shift if you're getting EMI, let alone multiple frequencies to chose from. It's got multiple tones, but only if you hold the spring loaded SUM switch. It's not a serious contender for what they have it priced at.

ace and cortes does not compare

You can get the ace but i will never come close to the cortes,infact they are not even close. Get the ace and i will buy the cortes which is a very good unit for coin hunting.
